Hank And Tammy Video Premiere and Tour July Aug 2014

Some very exciting news for you all. Firstly thankyou to all who came out my New Zealand tour, there are plenty of photos of the tour here on instagram . I shall return to New Zealand in a few months.

Now the exciting news is here is my brand new filmclip for my song ‘Hank and Tammy.’

Liam Gerner – Hank and Tammy (Official Video) from Liam Gerner on Vimeo.

While traveling in the USA I was told the true tale of an old couple who were caught smuggling drugs in their Winnebago in Anuhuac, Texas. This story inspired my song Hank and Tammy. So many elderly people are stricken by poverty, this song is about one such couple who attempted a very risky retirement scheme. The story was told to me by the actual Texas judge who had to lock them up, my mates dad, Judge Carol Wilburn.

In recording the song I wanted to incorporate the Cajun flavor of the country I was in when I wrote it, and was lucky enough to have the Cajun accordion master Steve Riley (Little band Of Gold) play on it as well as the brilliant songwriter Robbie Fulks on guest vocals, and a great rhythm section of my pals Eric lynn keys, Victor Indrizzo on drums and Sean Hurley on bass, Lucky Oceans on dobro,
